One of the best things about living in the middle of nowhere in Australia during summer? The wildlife.
I've just been outside watching an eagle (or kite. Whatever the big-arse birds in this wide brown land are called) catch a wind current and just ride it for about 5 mintues. Without a flap of it's enormous wings, it did slow large circles overhead. The sky today is blue without a hint of cloud, and it looks like the bird was just having a goof around. It was most likely tracking a bilby for lunch, but it looked like it was just enjoying the day and the fact it could fly.
