Today is International Recommend-A-Movie Day. This means everyone should go to their LJ right now and tell their friends to watch a really good movie which most of them probably have not seen. And then tell more people to do it. Hopefully, we'll all have lots and lots of recommendations by the end of the day.

My rec is an Australian movie called "Two Hands." It stars Heath Ledger, Bryan Brown (an Aussie Actor who was in Cocktail with Tom Cruise and the movie FX) and Rose Byrne (The girl who got to sleep with Brad PittAchilles in Troy) Why see it - it's quite possibly one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It's a black comedy with a fair bit of violence in it, but seriously you may very well wet your pants during and just after the bank robbery scene. The poor bastards have no clue what they're doing.

The premise of the movie is Jimmy (Heath Ledger's character) has to deliver some money to local crime Boss, and when he gets distracted by a pretty girl and goes for a swim, some runaway kids stumble upon the money. The boss is not happy.

And that is a crap description of the plot, but if I tell you any more I'll ruin the whole story for you. There's some classic lines in it as well ("Soft folds, son. Soft folds."), 'cause we all know deep down all criminals have a penchant for origami.
