Day 8
I don't have much to say today. It is bloody freezing. I have embraced my inner Nanna, and have taken a lap blanket to work for my legs. I'm not a fan of blow heaters (especially at the moment with the mouse plague going on. We're having enough trouble with them in fax machines, the walls and getting inside computers without giving them extra places to hide), and so I have gone old school with my blanket.

And yes; it is a crochet blanket.

And double yes; my Nan (Great Nanna in fact) made it for it.

It is gloriously warm. And no matter how many people laugh at me at work, I shall enjoy it's warmth.

A lap blanket is Aussie for throw - it's small, and fits on your lap. But we also call them throws as well. It just depends what state you're from.

They took a photo of me with the blanket; it's at work, so when I'm back there I"ll post it here.

The best part of the story; day one there was much mocking from everyone for me having a lap blanket. Day two; two other people bought a blanket into work with the,.

I win!!
