Day 7
So I was talking to my friend P-dog the other day, and out of the blue she says “I was talking to D (her girlfriend) and we’ve decided that when we get married, we would think it would be awesome if you married us. Could you look into that?”

I thought she was joking, and left it at that. Fast forward to a couple of weeks later, and it turns out she wasn’t. D asked me about it at a barbecue we were all at how I was getting on looking up what I needed. I told her I thought P-dog was pulling my leg, and D replied with all the reasons they thought getting married by me would make their happy day, well, really bloody happy. Which made me happy. (their reasons made me feel a bit chuffed.)

So I’ve looked into it. And, I gotta tell ya all those US American shows that have people becoming celebrants by clicking a button on the internet is a load of tish and tosh. In Australia, it’s a seven month course where, at the end of it, there’s a chance the government won’t even let you let become a full-blown legal marry-er person. It's a tad complicated. But! By the end of it you are able to marry people, perform a civil service, baptise/naming ceremonies and even do funerals.

Yeah. I won't be doing funerals if I do do this course. I"m still umming and ahhing about it. If I do decide to do the course, I won't be starting it until I get back from my trip to the US.
