The Three Questions Meme:

Ask me 3 questions. No more, no less. Ask me anything you want. Then go to your journal, copy and paste this, allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything, too.

Ask away - you know you want to...

1. How did you first discover slash?

2. If you could have any slash pairing become canon in its original source, which would it be, and how would you like it revealed?

3. What is the worst book (or fanfic) you've ever read?

1. How did you first discover slash?

I was looking for (of all things) Het Mag7. I got the URL for the Adult BlackRaptor web site, and there really wasn’t that much there that didn’t involve red-haired women who were WonderWoman in their spare time. So I thought to myself – “I’ll give this E/V, C/B fic a try. I probably won’t like it, but I am dying to read anything at this stage.” And to my surprise my head didn’t explode from it. In fact, I liked it. And then I never looked at Het again (for which I am incredibly grateful.Extremely grateful.)

2. If you could have any slash pairing become canon in its original source, which would it be, and how would you like it revealed?

Now this is a difficult question. I don’t like any pairings at all in my television shows. For me, pairings and relationships get in the way of the show. The characters seem to no longer evolve, and get stuck in rut of having arguments due to miscommunications, and then making up which involves much hugging and loud kissing.

Having said that, I would like the pre-slash back in Stargate. Before it became necessary to Sam and Jack to make doe eyes at each other, and Daniel was never allowed to be in the same room as Jack. Ever. They wouldn’t have to do much: longing looks, some touchy-feely moments. Some manly arm patting. Maybe a shower scene. Or twelve.

There’d definitely be an off-world scene where Daniel has to change a bandage on Jack’s leg.

3. What is the worst book (or fanfic) you've ever read?

Honestly, can’t really remember. I try to purge the badness from my mind as quickly as possible. There are certain writers I run screaming from while gouging my own eyes out so I won’t even read their names.

One book I hated so much I had forgotten I had read it until I had bought the damn thing a second time was “Open House.” Can’t remember the author, but it was an Oprah Book. The woman was more Mary-Sue than ever before.

Not a fan of Toni Morrison. She starts off well, but never seems to finish it with any amount of oomph.

Any fanfic which involves a male character sliding down a wall crying his eyes out gets on my badfic list. Or has the guys having an intense conversation on the benefits of using conditioner. Also, excessive exclamation points in fics. You know the types I mean; every third sentence has one. The guys walked through the door! A car back-fired! “But I love you!” “I know!” Only he could save the day!

Oh, I like Delphi's questions! Mine aren't near so good...

1 - What is your guilty pleasure in Slash fic?

2 - You're stranded on a desert isle, and funnily enough, it's with the person you'd most like to be stranded on a desert isle with. Who would that person be (real or fictional)?

3 - When are you going to post that... y'know, fic? :g:

1 - What is your guilty pleasure in Slash fic?

Elevator sex. You know how much I love heaps of plot and not that much sex in my slash, but to really push my buttons….hmm. You got the danger of being caught, the possibility – the probability – someone is watching on the security camera. And it’s quick, and doesn’t go on with romantic prose or mawkish sentiment. It’s usually two men getting their rocks off as hard and as fast as they can. Yum. And – they usually stayed clothed. That’s my other guilty pleasure: them having penetrative sex with the majority of their clothes still on.

2 - You're stranded on a desert isle, and funnily enough, it's with the person you'd most like to be stranded on a desert isle with. Who would that person be (real or fictional)?

Now this is a toughie. I have absolutely no want to meet a famous person. The whole concept frightens me, to tell you the truth. I know I’m an idiot, and I really don’t want someone I’ve lusted over to know I am. Having said that – if I had to be stranded, Colby off Survivor: Australia and Survivor:Allstars. ‘Cause he would know what to do, has a bit of an accent, and is yummy to look at.

Fictional … MacGyver, but in Jack O’Neill’s body. Can’t handle the MacGyver mullet, but it would be nice to have someone around you could rig me up a DVD player using only a coconut and toe hair.

3 - When are you going to post that... y'know, fic? :g:

That’s my other guilty pleasure: them having penetrative sex with the majority of their clothes still on.

Ah, yes... One of my guilty pleasures is one of the guys (whichever is my fave) naked while the other is mostly still clothed while they have sex. Very toe-curling that is, yes, indeed.

Really?? You're not just funnin' me, now, are you??

Nope. I will post it by then. Cross my heart.

1. You mentioned that you also work at a radio station, what kind of show do you moderate?

2. What is your favourite flower?

3. Is there a story behind the name "Erika Sanely" (I assume it's not your real one)?

1. You mentioned that you also work at a radio station, what kind of show do you moderate?

I've just given up having a regular spot, because my work roster has gotten so screwy, but it was called "The Drive Through." It was during the week days from 5pm to 630pm. Mostly involved playing requests (for 12 year-olds, lot of Britney Spears and Fiddy Cent), doing a secret sound competition and just chatting with a friend of mine who I co-hosted with. (My icon is actually my friend)

2. What is your favourite flower?

The Protea
I find it's awkwardness makes it beautiful.

3. Is there a story behind the name "Erika Sanely" (I assume it's not your real one)?

It is my real name, but it isn't :g: It's actually an anagram of my first and last name. I wanted a name I could use when I wrote slash, but I could never find one that 'fitted'. So I threw my name in one of those generators, and came up with something that sounds real, but isn't.
