5 Questions that toastedtea asked me, and 5 that I answered. (Funnily enough, it's the same 5 questions!

1. I know you're fairly well traveled. What has been your favorite place to visit so far, and where else would you like to go?
I absolutely adore New York. I want to go back there for at least a week on day. DisneyLand is also a very big Fav. I want to go to London; I’ve only spent a day there, and I was very jet-lagged, and I need to see it properly. Actually, going to a show or two on the West End (A proper show, and a musical) is on my bucket list. Also want to go to Dolly-wood in Tennessee. I’ve looked into it, but the logistics to get there at the right time were killing my itinerary for my next trip. So, I guess I’ll have to have another jaunt sometime in the future. Oh! And I can't forget Ireland. Now that is a beautiful place. I also want to go to a film festival like Cannes or Sundance. Since I like to travel alone, my one rule is I can only travel to countries that I can speak the language of. That way I can’t get into too much trouble. Or, if I’m getting into trouble I know what I’m getting into.

2. What books are you reading these days?
I bought a Kindle, which I think may be the greatest thing I ever bought; makes the bus trip to and from work easier when I’ve got so many books to choose from. I’ve got a couple of books on the go; an anthology of Miss Marple Mysteries, The best of HP Lovecraft (I’ve been reading this for about 18 months. The stories scare the crap outta me, so I can usually only handle one story every month or so.) and am working my way through the Discworld novels. I’ve been thinking of trying to read Lord Of The Rings again, as I’ve never been able to get my head around any of those in the past. On my list to read is “The Killer of Little Shepherds” which is about true story about a French Serial Killer and the birth of Modern Forensic techniques which sounds fascinating. I’ve just finished reading Frankenstien for the first time ever (I gotta say I was disappointed with it.), and re-reading Hound of the Baskervilles, which was awesome as always.

3. John Fluevog or Jimmy Choo?
Ohh, tough question!! I own more Choo’s than Fluevog’s, but in terms of comfort I vote Fluevog’s. (Note to self; need to buy more shoes…)

4. What are some misconceptions/cliches about Australia and Australians that annoy you/make you laugh your ass off?

This question has given me trouble, and I'm not even sure I've answered it. The way we’re portrayed as all being Steve Irwin does rankle. He was seen as a bit of an idiot here. I as going to say that it annoys me how Aussies are seen as alcoholic idiots, but then I remembered that a lot of my posts are about me either being drunk, hungover, or written while drunk. Yeah, that one is a cliché because it’s so true. Oh! One thing that does REALLY annoy me in the way were portrayed (or at least, the way it looks like we’re portrayed.) is how friendly and easy-going we are. We are a very racist country. If we (and by we, I’m generalizing a fair bit. Any Aussie’s reading this don’t kill me.) could, all immigration to Australia would cease. Hell, the “White Australia” policy only ended in 1973. There was the race riot on Cronulla Beach a couple of years ago. And don’t get me started on Aboriginal rights (and my views on that may shock and horrify.) Having said all that we’re not all red-necks, I promise!!

5. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
I believe that would be 42 meters per second. But that’s only if it’s Not Dead Yet, or only suffering from a Flesh Wound
